Hepatitis A Vaccination National Shortage.

We have received an update from Public Health England with regards to hepatitis A vaccine supply. There is an ongoing global shortage which is impacting on continuity of supply in the UK. Anybody requiring boosters of this vaccination can be safely delayed at the present time. We are currently investigating alternative vaccine options as advised by Public Health England.

Exposure to Measles - What to do.

Following a recent notification by Public Health England there have been some reported cases of measles at the Northern General Hospital. If you think you may be suffering from any of the symptoms of measles, please contact the surgery by telephone first to discuss your symptoms before coming in to the practice as the virus is contagious.

New Out of Hours Hub Service

As part of a new scheme you may be offered an appointment after 18:30 at our hub site within the Palgrave Road Surgery for urgent appointments.

DNA Report JUNE 2017 - Were you struggling to book an appointment today?

In the month of June 2017 we have had 251 patients that did not attend for an appointment.  However we would like to thank the 6155 patients that did attend for their appointment.

This means that

10 hours lost in doctors surgeries and 156 bookable appointments were lost.

10 hours lost in Nurse Clinics and 95 bookable appointments were lost.

Help us to avoid this please by letting us have a mobile contact number so we can send text reminders to you that can allow you to cancel your appointment via text if needed.  

You can use the 24 Hour 365 days a week cancellation line or use our new automated text service.
