Young Minds

Young Minds

Young Minds is a national charity working to improve the mental health of all children and young people. They work with young people, as well as their parents, and professionals. Visit them on https://www.youngminds.org.uk/

Young Minds also provide free advice and support for parents if they are worried about their child’s mental health. They also provide a free parents helpline T: 0808 802 5544 (Mon-Fri 09.30am-4pm) or via the webchat on their website.

Door 43

Door 43 offers support to 13-25 year olds on a range of emotional wellbeing issues. The service focuses on early intervention and low level support and is not a specialist mental health service. Their staff are not able to conduct mental health assessments or provide intensive one-to-one sessions or clinical treatment, but they will refer young people to appropriate services if required.

Door 43 offers a number of services including: a drop in, one to one support, wellbeing cafes and social prescribing spaces and can support young people with lots of different things they may need advice on or are struggling with.

Door 43 is a Youth Information, Advice, Counselling and Support Service (YIACS) within Sheffield Futures.

You can follow them on Instagram for their wellbeing content – @door43_
